1st Annual 5K Penryn Fun Run.

On Sunday 6 April 2008 at the Penryn Rugby Club

At 3pm

Licenced Bar, Hot Drinks & Food

In aid of the new hospial in Cornwall,
 for the Childrens Hospice SW

A 5K Multi-Terrain Fun Run for over 13s see “The Route”

• A Junior (10-13) approx 4K fun run around the Rugby Club grounds
• A Childrens (Under 10) approx 1K fun run in the Club grounds

Winners prizes/medals are still to be determined but we envisage the following

• 5K Run. First male and First Female. First Senior Male (over 60) and First Senior Female (over 60)
• Junior. First Male. First Female. Best Fancy Dress
• Children. First Three Males and First 3 Females. Best Fancy Dress

Age Restrictions.

• 5K under 13s can enter but MUST walk the course and be accompanied by a fee paying adult
• Childrens Fun Run. must be accompanied by an adult

But to make this event successful we need support from the people and businesses of Penryn.

Most things in life start with small beginnings. The first New York City Marathon, was a humble affair. In 1970, 127 runners paid the $1 entry fee to NYRR to participate in a 26.2-mile race that looped several times within Central Park. Fifty-five runners crossed the finish line.

55 Runners?? come on Penryn we can beat that.
